FAMILY MARTIAL ARTS CLASSES
Reflect Choi Kwang Do offers Family Martial Arts’ Classes, with each session tailored to suit the ages of each student group. We help children develop confidence and the ability to deal with challenging situations such as bullying and prepare adults with self-defence skills all in one phenomenal Family Martial Arts’ Programme.
Our Choi Kwang Do School is a caring, family friendly environment. Our different sessions enable all members of the family to train, have fun and learn together whilst reaping the benefits of better health and physical fitness.
With the Family environment of our Martial Arts’ classes, students are happy and feel comfortable and relaxed and we find that to be the most effective way of teaching. Students progress at their own rate while learning effective self-defence skills and building their confidence and esteem as part of an incredibly supportive community.
STRUCTURE & FORMAT -
FAMILY MARTIAL ARTS CLASS
Choi Kwang Do is made up of nine syllabus components . All of our classes begin with reciting the Promise/Pledge and Principles and a ‘silent sit’ to prepare the mind for training. After this we carry out a thorough warm-up to avoid injury before moving onto specific drills. In class we cover hand/foot techniques, patterns, speed drills, impact training and fitness exercises before finishing off the session with a cool down. Kids working in our Family Sessions are also given the opportunity to take part in Games /Fun Drills at the end of each class. These aim to develop fitness and technique whilst also being great fun!
